Fall 2015 War Eagle Arts and Craft Fair-Sharp's Show

Hi, just letting everybody know that we will be at the fall War Eagle Fair - Sharp's Show. We will have a large double booth. I will have both art and my own line of handmade jewelry. Come out and enjoy the beautiful fall weather!

War eagle will be the only fall show that I will be attending this year. I will have a double booth at Sharp's farm (that is the large field BEHIND the mill). Also be sure and check out my son's booth right next door. He will have a large selection of handmade steampunk/industrial style lamps and functional sculpture. I apologize to all my local customers that usually come to the fairgrounds show. If you are not able to come to War Eagle, contact me after the show and I will be happy to have you out to my home gallery.

Solo Exhibit- Pride Gallery of Lawton, Oklahoma

I will be participating in my first solo show in November. The location will be the Pride Gallery. It is located in the Southwestern Medical Center of Lawton, Oklahoma. I will be exhibiting my watercolors of wildlife and nature. A wide range of subject matter will be on display, including florals, landscapes, birds and other wildlife. Framed limited edition giclee prints will also be available. On the night of the opening reception a limited number of my handmade copper jewelry pieces will also be for sale.

The opening reception will be Thursday evening, November 6, 2014 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM.

Fall 2014 Art Show Schedule

It's that time of the year again. Fall is in the air and it is almost time for the art and craft show season to start. I will be in my usual spot at the Hot Springs Art and Craft Fair. It is located at the Garland County Fairgrounds. I will be in Building 3, booths 55 and 56.

I will also be at War Eagle October 16-19. PLEASE NOTE: I will be at a different location this year. I will have a double booth at the Sharp's Show. That is in the field on the Mill side of the river. I will also have some of my handmade jewelry this year. You can get a sneak peak of a few pieces on my website. I am looking forward to seeing you there!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by my booth at the Hot Springs Arts & Craft Fair! A special thanks to all who purchased art!! If you didn't make it, you missed seeing some of my son's new artwork. He is building art lamps out of various antique gears, gauges, etc. It's hard to explain without seeing them, but they are kind of a steampunk or industrial style. He is planning on starting a website here on FASO as soon as he gets caught up on orders. So, watch for them! I will post a notice when he gets his site up and running.




My next show will be at the War Eagle Mill Fair. I will be in booth #11 in the parking lot of the old mill. For those of you who have never been, it is in the northern part of Arkansas not too far from Eureka Springs. You can go to their website for more info. The dates will be October 17th thru the 20th. Masters in Miniature Invitational Show-Trailside Galleries

I will have two watercolor paintings in the Masters in Miniature Invitational Show this July. The show will be held at Trailside Galleries in Jackson, Wyoming. I am adding a new line of handmade jewelry to my website. It will feature a lot of hammered copper and silver, natural stones, and shells.

I will have a variety of styles including some wire wrapping, chainmaille, and forged metals.

I like to work on my jewelry whenever I get a little burnt out on painting! But, like my art, most of my inspiration comes from nature. Leaves, flowers, and natural or rustic textures really appeal to me.

I have quite a few pieces already made, but you know how slow I am on getting them on my site. (Sorry, I am easily distracted!) I will try to list a few each week, so please be patient with me!

Hi, just a quick update on my fall shows. October 5th - 7th I will be at the Hot Springs Arts and Crafts Fair. It is held at the Garland County Fairgrounds. I will be in Building #3, booths 55 and 56.

October 18th - 21st  I will be at the War Eagle Mill Fair. My booth will be #10 in the parking lot of the Old Mill.

I will have several new originals and prints. One is pictured above. It is titled "Day's End".

Thank You!

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you that stopped by during my recent shows! The weather at War Eagle couldn't have been better and the crowd was huge. If I missed getting to talk to you, please forgive me. I was having a little trouble with losing my voice!

If you missed the show, I will be posting a few pics of some of my new pieces in the next few days. Here is the largest of the bunch. I just finished it in time for the Hot Springs Show. It is called "Bayou Morning". It is a scene near Natchitoches, Louisiana. I do have giclee prints available in two sizes, check my website for more information. The original is also available, call me if you are interested.

My next show will be here in Hot Springs. My sister and I will be the featured artists at the Tin Grizzly Gallery in November. My sister, Susan Munger, will have some of her watercolors and acrylic paintings. She will have mostly westerns. Stop in and take a look if you are in Hot Springs.

New Original Watercolor-Miniature Landscape

Hi,

This is one of the new miniature paintings of Colorado that I just finished. This one is a view from Engineer Pass. It is above Lake City, Colorado. It is very small-a true miniature-a little less than 10 inches x 4 inches. Hope you enjoy!

I have two shows coming up in October. The first one is the Garland County Arts and Crafts Fair just outside of Hot Springs, Arkansas. The dates are October 7th thru the 9th, 2011. I will be in Building 3, booth numbers 55 and 56.

The second show will be War Eagle Mill Craft Fair. The dates are October 13th thru the 16th, 2011. I will be in the Old Mill parking lot under the carports.

Colorado Trip-Summer 2011

Hi,

I know you probably think this is a typo-doesn’t look much like summer! We left the 100+ degrees of Arkansas and went to Lake City, Colorado for a couple of weeks. What a difference! It was about 68 degreees in the daytime and got down in the 40’s at night. Up on the passes, it was even colder and we needed a light coat.

This is a photo of my two grandkids taken in American Basin. The wildflowers were just gorgeous this year. They got a lot of snow and so everything was lush and beautiful. I took about 1700 photos while we were there and hope to do some paintings. I have one small landscape almost finished that I will be posting in the next few days. I also started a small plein air painting while I was there that I need to finish in the studio. Well, that’s all for now.

I am going to try to turn over a new leaf and actually keep up with this blog-at least that's the plan! I haven't been painting much the last few weeks--too busy gardening. It's spring!!
I wanted to catch up a little by posting a few of my paintings from last year. This is a painting I finished last fall. I sold the original, but I have prints available. We took a couple weeks off last summer and went to Colorado to escape the heat (it was 105 degrees here!) . We camped near Lake City. This is the end of a small lake near there. The road that you see is part of the Alpine Loop on the Cinnamon Pass side. There are several resident moose in the area and we got some nice photos. I also painted a couple of smaller landscapes while we were there.

Hi, it's been awhile since I have posted anything! I have been getting ready for my fall shows and working on a new painting. Sorry I haven't posted any photos. I did take some pics of the painting in progress and so I thought I would catch up and post all of them at once. This new piece is much brighter than most of my work, so it was a bit of a switch for me.
