Thanks to everyone who stopped by my booth at the Hot Springs Arts & Craft Fair! A special thanks to all who purchased art!! If you didn't make it, you missed seeing some of my son's new artwork. He is building art lamps out of various antique gears, gauges, etc. It's hard to explain without seeing them, but they are kind of a steampunk or industrial style. He is planning on starting a website here on FASO as soon as he gets caught up on orders. So, watch for them! I will post a notice when he gets his site up and running.




My next show will be at the War Eagle Mill Fair. I will be in booth #11 in the parking lot of the old mill. For those of you who have never been, it is in the northern part of Arkansas not too far from Eureka Springs. You can go to their website for more info. The dates will be October 17th thru the 20th. Masters in Miniature Invitational Show-Trailside Galleries

I will have two watercolor paintings in the Masters in Miniature Invitational Show this July. The show will be held at Trailside Galleries in Jackson, Wyoming. I am adding a new line of handmade jewelry to my website. It will feature a lot of hammered copper and silver, natural stones, and shells.

I will have a variety of styles including some wire wrapping, chainmaille, and forged metals.

I like to work on my jewelry whenever I get a little burnt out on painting! But, like my art, most of my inspiration comes from nature. Leaves, flowers, and natural or rustic textures really appeal to me.

I have quite a few pieces already made, but you know how slow I am on getting them on my site. (Sorry, I am easily distracted!) I will try to list a few each week, so please be patient with me!

Hi, just a quick update on my fall shows. October 5th - 7th I will be at the Hot Springs Arts and Crafts Fair. It is held at the Garland County Fairgrounds. I will be in Building #3, booths 55 and 56.

October 18th - 21st  I will be at the War Eagle Mill Fair. My booth will be #10 in the parking lot of the Old Mill.

I will have several new originals and prints. One is pictured above. It is titled "Day's End".

Thank You!

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you that stopped by during my recent shows! The weather at War Eagle couldn't have been better and the crowd was huge. If I missed getting to talk to you, please forgive me. I was having a little trouble with losing my voice!

If you missed the show, I will be posting a few pics of some of my new pieces in the next few days. Here is the largest of the bunch. I just finished it in time for the Hot Springs Show. It is called "Bayou Morning". It is a scene near Natchitoches, Louisiana. I do have giclee prints available in two sizes, check my website for more information. The original is also available, call me if you are interested.

My next show will be here in Hot Springs. My sister and I will be the featured artists at the Tin Grizzly Gallery in November. My sister, Susan Munger, will have some of her watercolors and acrylic paintings. She will have mostly westerns. Stop in and take a look if you are in Hot Springs.

New Original Watercolor-Miniature Landscape

Hi,

This is one of the new miniature paintings of Colorado that I just finished. This one is a view from Engineer Pass. It is above Lake City, Colorado. It is very small-a true miniature-a little less than 10 inches x 4 inches. Hope you enjoy!

I have two shows coming up in October. The first one is the Garland County Arts and Crafts Fair just outside of Hot Springs, Arkansas. The dates are October 7th thru the 9th, 2011. I will be in Building 3, booth numbers 55 and 56.

Colorado Trip-Summer 2011

Hi,

I know you probably think this is a typo-doesn’t look much like summer! We left the 100+ degrees of Arkansas and went to Lake City, Colorado for a couple of weeks. What a difference! It was about 68 degreees in the daytime and got down in the 40’s at night. Up on the passes, it was even colder and we needed a light coat.

This is a photo of my two grandkids taken in American Basin. The wildflowers were just gorgeous this year. They got a lot of snow and so everything was lush and beautiful. I took about 1700 photos while we were there and hope to do some paintings. I have one small landscape almost finished that I will be posting in the next few days. I also started a small plein air painting while I was there that I need to finish in the studio. Well, that’s all for now.
